Most young puppies are infected with roundworms from birth or shortly after. Other worm parasites may also be present but they are not as common. Puppies should be dewormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age, then it is prudent to put them on a monthly heartworm prevention for life that also protects the dog against other parasites. Adult dogs are wormed annually unless otherwise advised by a veterinarian.

Kittens should be dewormed at the ages of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age,  then monthly until 6 months of age. Adult cats are wormed every 3 months for life.

Ensure all commercal worming products are safe for puppies and kittens before administering te drug. Ensure the dose is the correct amount before deworming any animal.
